EU: Barley exports slightly lower in July-June 202/21 than last year
Between July 2020 and June 2021 the EU shipped 7.08 mln tonnes of barley (last season 7.61 mln tonnes), H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in July.
The main destinations for European produce were: China, which imported 2.777 mln tonnes, Saudi Arabia with 1.216 mln tonnes, and Iran with 0.78 mln tonnes.
As per Taxud statistics, barley imports were 356 thousand tonnes, of which 241 thousand from the U.K. (EU stats show imports from the U.K. as of January 2021).
